Your Role
The Bookkeeper will work remotely to reconcile bank transactions and manage invoices. You will collaborate closely with the business owner to ensure all accounts are accurate, up to date, and compliant with Australian bookkeeping standards (GST, BAS, ATO requirements).
This is a
part-time role (20 hours per week)
with the potential to increase as the business grows. Hours and days of work will be flexible.

Your Daily Tasks:
- Perform weekly bank and credit card reconciliations in Xero
- Enter, code, and manage invoices and bills
- Prepare supplier payments for approval (batch payments/ABA files)
- Maintain Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable records
- Ensure GST coding accuracy for BAS reporting
- Flag and follow up on unreconciled or unusual transactions
- Maintain proper digital records (via Xero Files, Hubdoc, or Dext)
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper for Australian clients
- Proficiency with Xero (Xero Advisor Certification preferred)
- Strong understanding of GST, BAS, and Australian accounting standards
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong English communication (written & spoken)
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently
