Job Description

As a Bill Only Requestor, you'll manage accurate bill-only requisitions for surgical cases, verify supporting documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and timely order processing. Your role is key in maintaining procurement standards that directly support critical healthcare operations.

Job Overview

Employment type: Full-time

Shift: Night shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Weekends off

The Qualifications We Seek

Required:

  • Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related discipline
  • 1-3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain operations
  • Familiarity with the full procure-to-pay (P2P) cycle
  • Strong Excel and ERP platform experience (e.g., Workday, Oracle, SAP)

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Background in supporting U.S. healthcare or higher education procurement
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare vendor regulations

Core Competencies:

  • Attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Clear and professional written English communication
  • Proactive issue resolution and follow-through
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a remote setup
  • Familiarity with SOP-driven workflows and continuous process improvement

Tools Used:

  • ERP Systems (e.g., Workday, GHX)
  • Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams
  • Document Management Systems

Work Hours:

  • Aligned with U.S. Eastern Time Zone (EST), Monday to Friday

Performance Metrics:

  • On-Time Submission Rate: requisitions submitted within required timelines
  • Requisition Velocity Rate: minimum threshold daily
  • Requisition Accuracy Rate: requisitions submitted without errors

Your Daily Tasks

  • Create and submit accurate bill-only requisitions for surgical case-related items in accordance with MUSC guidelines
  • Review and verify all supporting documentation (e.g., surgical case forms, item details, pricing) prior to requisition submission
  • Ensure all requisitions align with MUSC's procurement policies and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to resolve discrepancies and clarify case details
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of bill-only workflows, system requirements, and vendor protocols
  • Monitor requisition status and follow up to ensure timely PO generation and fulfillment
  • Identify and escalate issues related to incomplete documentation, incorrect pricing, or non-compliant submissions
  • Contribute to process improvements and documentation updates related to bill-only procurement
