Job Overview

The Compliance Officer ensures that the company operates in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards. The position supports data privacy compliance, intellectual property registration, contract management, and government relations related to trade and export activities.

As a member of the Ethics and Compliance Team, the Compliance Officer also plays a key role in maintaining ethical business conduct among the company's business owners, independent distributors, and employees, fostering a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability.

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Regulatory and Legal Compliance

  2. Ensure company compliance with relevant national and international laws, particularly those governing direct selling, trade, and export operations.

  3. Coordinate with government agencies such as DTI, SEC, IPOPhil, and Bureau of Customs (BOC) regarding licenses, permits, product registrations, and export documentation.
  4. Communicate and coordinate with foreign trade offices, embassies, or export-processing authorities for international transactions or regulatory clearances.

  5. Monitor legal and regulatory updates affecting company operations and disseminate changes to management and concerned departments.

  6. Ethics and Business Conduct

  7. Actively participate in the Ethics and Compliance Team to promote a high standard of integrity in all business activities.

  8. Handle and document ethics-related reports or violations involving business owners, distributors, or staff.
  9. Provide guidance to management and distributors on the company's Code of Ethics, Anti-Fraud Policies, and Responsible Selling Standards.

  10. Assist in conducting ethics investigations and recommend corrective or disciplinary measures as necessary.

  11. Intellectual Property (IP) Management

  12. Facilitate the registration, renewal, and protection of company trademarks, product names, and proprietary materials with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPhil).

  13. Maintain a register of IP assets and monitor potential misuse or infringement.

  14. Coordinate with external IP counsel or agencies for application filings and document submissions.

  15. Contract Management and Legal Support

  16. Provide support to the Retainer Legal Counsel in the drafting, review, and evaluation of contracts, including vendor agreements, distributorship contracts, NDAs, and other legal documents.

  17. Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies before execution.

  18. Maintain a centralized record of all executed contracts and legal correspondence.

  19. Investigate compliance issues and monitor the implementation of corrective actions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in compliance, legal, data privacy, or corporate governance, preferably within a direct selling, consumer goods, or export-oriented organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
