Senior Manual Quality Analyst

Department: Quality Assurance / Testing

Reports To: QA Manager / Project Manager

1. Quality Process Mastery

• Comply with defined Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and CMMI standards.
• Understand various testing approaches: System Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing.
• Apply appropriate test design techniques when writing test cases.
• Create test effort estimates based on requirements for small to large-sized projects.
• Develop effective test strategies and Master Test Plans.
• Review test cases and scripts written by team members; provide constructive feedback.
• Write comprehensive test cases, test scripts, and create test data and Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM).
• Execute test scripts, validate system behavior, and report defects clearly and accurately.
• Conduct functional, application, and regression testing for software releases.
• Prepare test environments and test data as per test plans and designs.
• Write clear defect reports based on testing outcomes.
• Prepare and submit Test Summary Reports and Acceptance Test Certificates.
• Facilitate peer reviews of RTMs, test cases, and test reports.
• Analyze test results and provide improvement recommendations.
• Enforce quality standards throughout the SDLC.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA procedures and practices.
• Evaluate information from multiple sources to ensure requirements are clear, complete, and prioritized.
• Document Functional Requirements and Use Cases by collaborating with stakeholders.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through clearly defined test specifications and delivery of quality products.
• Collaborate with Automation QA Analysts to initiate automation testing where feasible.
• Execute automated test cases and maintain them as needed.
• Provide business insights and recommendations based on sound understanding of business concerns.

2. Administrative Tasks

• Log daily tasks and progress in ATLAS or other project tracking systems.
• Validate process compliance in alignment with CMMI requirements.
• Prepare and submit project and testing reports.
• Lead QA activities for small to medium-sized projects, resolving minor issues and risks.
• Mentor and guide Junior QA Analysts.

3. Teamwork

• Coordinate closely with development and support teams.
• Promote effective team interaction in alignment with organizational values.
• Support team members as needed to ensure continuity of services.

4. Learning and Development

• Continuously expand knowledge on business processes and IT tools.
• Stay updated on current technology, industry changes, and relevant systems.

5. Other Duties

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership.

Educational Background:

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years experience in Software QA and Manual Testing.
• Proven ability to write detailed test cases and test scripts.
• Experience creating a Master Test Plan.
• Deep understanding of test design techniques, QA methodologies, and SDLC (Agile and Waterfall).
• Familiarity with QA testing tools and standards.
• Exposure to business operations in manufacturing, distribution, and finance is a strong advantage.
• Experience in varied development environments.
• Prior leadership of small QA teams in small/medium projects is a plus.

Certifications (Preferred):

• ISTQB certification is a plus.
