Job Description
I. Position Objectives / Job Summary

The role ensures that business requirements are fully understood and accurately translated into functional specifications and test cases, in collaboration with the Manual Quality Analyst and/or Senior Manual Quality Analyst.

The position is responsible for executing test cases, documenting results, and supporting the efficient resolution of defects. It ensures that the system is released according to the agreed functional requirements and quality standards, as evidenced by a Test Summary Report and/or Acceptance Test Certificate.


II. Key Result Areas / Job Responsibilities

1. Quality Process Mastery

  • Understand and comply with the organization's defined Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and CMMI standards.
  • Demonstrate understanding of various testing approaches such as System, Integration, and Regression testing.
  • Apply appropriate test design techniques in creating effective test cases.
  • Collaborate with the Manual Quality Analyst and/or Senior Manual Quality Analyst to develop test strategies and plans.
  • Provide test effort estimations for small to medium-sized projects.
  • Write detailed test cases, test scripts, and prepare test data as needed.
  • Execute assigned test cases accurately, identify system behavior, and report discovered defects with clear replication steps.
  • Perform test execution in accordance with the test plan and test design, including setup and configuration.
  • Test and certify defect fixes and new functionalities, executing functional, application, and regression tests for software releases.
  • Prepare clear and precise defect reports for identified issues.
  • Submit Test Summary Reports and/or Acceptance Test Certificates to document results.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering clear testing documentation and high-quality software aligned with requirements.

2. Administrative Tasks

  • Record activities in ATLAS and report or escalate issues to the immediate superior when necessary.
  • Conduct validation activities to ensure CMMI compliance.
  • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation in a timely manner.

3. Teamwork

  • Coordinate closely with team members involved in application development and support.
  • Promote effective collaboration and uphold the organization's core values while achieving team objectives.

4. Learning and Development

  • Continuously expand knowledge of business processes and IT systems.
  • Stay updated on current technologies, system changes, and relevant industry trends to support team growth and efficiency.

5. Other Tasks

  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications

The candidate must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or software testing.
  • Proven experience in writing test cases and test scripts.
  • A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of QA testing tools, test design techniques, standards, and processes.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities.
  • A strong commitment to the organization's goals, values, and quality standards.
  • Flexibility to work on shifting schedules and extended hours when needed.
  • Willingness to travel to other sites as required.
