Senior Manual QA

Country: Philippines | Work Location: Alabang, Muntinlupa

Salary: 70,000 – 80,000 PHP

We are looking for a Senior Manual QA for our French client, who specializes in producing various types of glasses and collaborating with opticians. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life by improving the quality of vision.

Responsibilities

• As a Senior Manual QA, you will be ensuring adherence to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and CMMI standards, maintaining compliance with organizational best practices and quality frameworks;
• You will be evaluating and applying various testing approaches, selecting the most effective methodologies for different testing scenarios;
• You will be creating test effort estimations based on project requirements, ensuring appropriate resource allocation for small to large-scale projects;
• You will be developing effective test strategies and plans, including the creation of a Master Test Plan, to ensure structured and comprehensive testing;
• You will be reviewing test cases and test scripts created by team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and project requirements;
• You will be writing detailed test cases and scripts, generating test data and a Requirement Traceability Matrix to track test coverage;
• You will be testing and certifying software defect fixes and new functionalities, ensuring system reliability before deployment;
• You will be executing functional, application, and regression tests for software releases, validating stability and compatibility across environments;
• You will be conducting audits to ensure compliance with CMMI procedures, contributing to process improvements and standardization;
• You will be preparing and submitting reports, documenting test results, defect findings, and overall software quality metrics;
• You will be coordinating with application development and support teams, collaborating to resolve issues and improve system quality;
• You will be mentoring and guiding junior QA analysts, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirement

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or software testing, demonstrating expertise in manual testing processes and methodologies;
• 1+ year of experience with automation testing, showcasing familiarity with automated test execution and frameworks;
• Work in a hybrid set up (3 days onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa and 2 days WFH) – Necessary condition;
• Intermediate experience working with SQL, including writing queries for validation and backend testing;
• Intermediate experience with API testing, ensuring backend services and integrations perform reliably;
• Proficiency in writing test cases and test scripts, following structured approaches to ensure thorough testing coverage;
• Experience in creating a Master Test Plan, guiding the testing process for structured project execution;
• Deep understanding of Test Design Techniques, QA methodologies, and SDLC models, including Waterfall and Agile, ensuring flexibility and adaptability to project needs;
• Strong knowledge of QA testing tools, different test approaches, standards, and processes, ensuring structured and high-quality test execution;
• Experience leading a QA team in small to medium-sized projects, demonstrating leadership and team coordination abilities;
• Experience working in various system development environments, ensuring adaptability to different technologies and infrastructures.

Nice to have

• Exposure to business operations in manufacturing, distribution, and financial sectors, providing additional industry-specific testing knowledge;
• ISTQB Testing Certificate, validating formal expertise in software testing principles and methodologies.

• Salary for work amounting to 70,000 – 80,000 PHP;
