Job description:

The role of the Food and Beverage Supervisor is to ensure the proper and efficient operations in both the dining (FOH) and kitchen (BOH) area. The Food and Beverage Supervisor will be responsible in execution of restaurant service and ensuring customer satisfaction. He/She will handle multiple branches and play a crucial role in branch expansion.

Regular Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Duties

  • Oversee daily restaurant activities, ensuring smooth and efficient service during shifts
  • Plan, forecast and execute food and beverage orders
  • Ensure customer standards are met contributing to a positive dining experience
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and feedback in a timely and effective manner
  • Implement policies and procedures, food health and safety standards, and code of discipline
  • Ensure that all dining equipment are properly maintained and used according to specifications, and areas particularly in the kitchen are kept clean and compliant to health and safety standards

Profitability

  • Assist in formulating revenue-generating activities such as promotions, events, and function sales/bookings
  • Effectively control and monitor dining supply expenses to acceptable levels
  • Monitor and reduce operating expenses; implement cost-control/cost-saving measures
  • Monitor proper and adequate levels of inventory and coordinate with vendors for tracking orders

Product Development

  • Monitor the trends and developments in the industry in terms of service and product offerings
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and product development
  • Ensure that food preparation is up to standards

People Development

  • Support the hiring of manpower based on the requirements of the position
  • Conduct/recommend training and programs for the development of manpower
  • Evaluate manpower based on performance as required
  • Foster a positive and professional work environment

Management

  • Provide regular reports on F&B operations, including sales, costs, and performance metrics
  • Ensure business continuity during crisis
  • Perform other tasks assigned from time to time
  • Ensure that all systems and standards are properly implemented across all branches covered

Occasional Duties

Business Expansion

  • Assist in conducting market and feasibility study for new branch locations
  • Work together with marketing and implement marketing directives for launch campaigns
  • Ensure the standards and systems will be followed
  • Set up the operations for new branches

Job Requirements

  • Seasoned F&B Manager/Supervisor
  • Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management or equivalent
