As a System Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and efficiency of the organization's IT systems. This position involves actively participating in system maintenance, troubleshooting, and implementing improvements to enhance overall system performance. Your expertise will be integral to the seamless operation of critical IT services within the company.

Responsibilities:

1. System Administration and Maintenance:

  • Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Perform routine system maintenance tasks, such as applying patches, updates, and security configurations.
  • Manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity measures.
  • Ensure system security by implementing appropriate access controls and security measures.

2. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

  • Investigate and diagnose system-related incidents and problems, working towards prompt resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, addressing system-related inquiries and issues.

3. System Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, capacity, and incident trends.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experiences on the LINUX environment with the ability to navigate, manipulate system issues
  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP network environment, load-balancers, DNS and other internet protocols
  • At least one year of experience on using UNIX shell script or other programming language on UNIX based platforms
  • Experience with AWS/GCP or the others
  • Good knowledge on change, incident and BCP/DRP technologies Excellent skills to effectively communicate via phone and in writing
  • Proficiency in NGINX configuration and performance tuning.
  • Expertise in PHP-FPM configuration and performance tuning. Knowledge of installation and administration of Relational Database.
  • Experience in installation and administration of Redis.
  • Understanding of database backup and restore processes.
  • Proficient in using Git for version control and collaboration.
  • Experience with CICD, including maintenance and administration tasks.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Fluency in Chinese communication is highly preferred.
