About the role

Metro Industries, Inc.' is seeking a dedicated and skilled Ground Maintenance professional to join our team in Calamba City, Laguna. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and facilities of our manufacturing plant, ensuring a clean, safe and visually appealing environment for our employees and visitors.

What you'll be doing

  1. Perform regular grounds keeping tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding to maintain the appearance of lawns, gardens, and landscaping
  2. Remove debris, trash, and litter from the property on a daily basis
  3. Monitor and maintain the irrigation system to ensure optimal watering of plants and lawns
  4. Assist with minor building maintenance tasks, such as painting, window cleaning, and light repairs
  5. Collaborate with the facilities team to address any issues or concerns related to the grounds and buildings
  6. Adhere to all safety protocols and use equipment properly to prevent accidents and injuries

What we're looking for

  1. Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a similar hands-on role
  2. Familiarity with the use and maintenance of lawn mowers, trimmers, and other grounds keeping equipment
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently
  4. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean, well-organized work environment
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  6. Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor tasks throughout the day
