We are seeking an experienced Farm & Residence Manager to oversee and enhance the operations of a private farm and residential rest house. This role combines agricultural management with property oversight, requiring a hands-on leader who can maintain the land, manage staff, and ensure the property's overall upkeep and productivity.

You'll be responsible for cultivating and maintaining a variety of fruit-bearing and ornamental trees, ensuring sustainable practices, and managing the day-to-day operations of both the farm and residence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Farm Management:
  • Oversee the cultivation and maintenance of fruit-bearing and non-fruit-bearing trees.
  • Plan, implement, and monitor seasonal planting, irrigation, and harvesting schedules.
  • Ensure soil health, pest management, and sustainable farming practices.

Staff Management & Training:

  • Lead, train, and supervise farm and household staff to maintain high standards of performance and safety.
  • Schedule work assignments and oversee daily operations.
  • Foster a positive, disciplined, and efficient work environment.

Property & Facilities Management:

  • Manage upkeep of the rest house, grounds, and other facilities.
  • Oversee repairs, maintenance, and improvements across the property.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers when needed.

Administrative & Financial Oversight:

  • Monitor budgets, procurement, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain records of operations, yields, and expenses.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the property owner.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in farm management, residence supervision, or a related field.
  • Strong background in tree cultivation (fruit-bearing and ornamental).
  • Familiarity with property management and facility maintenance.
  • Leadership and team management skills with a focus on staff development.
  • Basic knowledge of farm machinery, irrigation systems, and sustainability practices.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Background

  • Degree or certification in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agribusiness, or related field.
  • Experience managing a private estate, agro-tourism property, or mixed-use farm is a plus.
  • Driver's license and ability to live on-site preferred.
