PAL Accounting & Advisory is a values-led Australian firm based in Geelong (near Melbourne). We help small business owners win at life, not just tax time. We are growing our PH team with a Senior Bookkeeper who can run client files end to end with minimal oversight.

The role

This is a senior, hands-on role supporting Australian small business clients with end-to-end bookkeeping. You will own a portfolio, keep books spotless, and keep payroll and BAS lodgements on track. You will work closely with our Australian accountants and be trusted to get things right the first time with minimal oversight.

Schedule: Day shift aligned to Melbourne time, typically 7:00 am to 3:00 pm PH Time.

Location: Remote within the Philippines.

What you will do

  • Manage your own portfolio of AU client files with limited review for complex matters
  • Deliver 100% accurate end-to-end bookkeeping, BAS, IAS, STP payroll, and super processing
  • Reconcile bank and clearing accounts, prepare journals, and month-end packs in Xero
  • Set up new Xero files, migrate data, and coach clients on best practice
  • Identify gaps, errors, and opportunities in files, then fix them proactively
  • Handle client queries by email and video calls with clear, friendly communication
  • Work efficiently to job budgets and collaborate with our AU team for smooth delivery

What you will bring

  • Minimum 8 years bookkeeping experience in public practice, serving Australian SMEs
  • Expert knowledge of GST, BAS, IAS, and payroll
  • Advanced Xero skills, including add-ons
  • Confident self-review, strong attention to detail, and reliable follow-through
  • Excellent English, both written and spoken, with a client-friendly tone
  • Comfortable working independently, yet collaborative with a wider team

Bonus

  • Experience with FYI Docs or similar practice systems
  • BAS Agent exposure, AU payroll year-end and TPAR familiarity
  • Experience reviewing work of other bookkeepers

Salary and benefits

  • ₱60,000 to ₱80,000 per month, based on experience and capability
