About the role

Ascon Foods Corporation is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team in our Molo Iloilo City Iloilo office. As the Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of our company, ensuring accurate reporting and driving strategic financial decision-making. What you'll be doing

  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including supervising and developing a team of finance professionals
  2. Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights that inform strategic business decisions
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
  4. Develop and implement efficient accounting processes and systems to enhance financial reporting and controls
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the company's overall financial and operational objectives
  6. Identify and implement cost-saving measures and process improvements to enhance the company's financial performance
  7. Provide financial advice and support to the management team on a wide range of business initiatives

What we're looking for

  1. Qualified accountant with 5-8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the food manufacturing industry
  2. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
  3. Proficient in the use of accounting software and financial reporting tools
  4. Strong leadership and people management skills to effectively lead and develop a team
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills to interact with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  6. Thorough understanding of relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
  7. Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement
