About the role

Amley Food Corporation is seeking a skilled Accounting Assistant to join our Accounting & Finance team in our Cagayan de Oro office. This is a full-time role where you will play a crucial part in maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of our financial records and reporting. If you have a passion for numbers, organization and attention to detail, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist with the General Ledger Accounts Monitoring

  • Assist in the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections

  • Provide support with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursement

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

  • Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes and implement efficiencies

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and internal policies

What we're looking for

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting/Business Administration/Management or a related field

  • Experience in a similar accounting assistant or bookkeeping role is advantage

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures

  • Proficient in using accounting software, such as Peachtree

  • Good attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry

  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues
