The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for providing inspired and organized leadership for the department, ensuring the efficiency, speed, and excellence of the entire accounting department under their supervision. This role involves monitoring proper recordings and documentation of all trade and non-trade receivables, payables, and accounting transactions, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of data in the NS System, and consolidating all Accounting KPIs and Metric Reports. The Accounting Supervisor is also expected to support external accounting functions, oversee regulatory compliance, and monitor accounts receivables, billing, and accounts payables.

Supervision & Team Management

  • Provide inspired and organized leadership to the accounting department.
  • Oversee the daily roles and assignments of accounting specialists to ensure departmental efficiency.
  • Conduct weekly one-on-one account reviews to ensure accuracy and provide guidance.

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Ensure the accuracy and proper documentation of all daily accounting transactions, including trade and non-trade receivables and payables.
  • Maintain data integrity in the NS System through regular balance checks.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and monthly reports, including bank reconciliations, creditor bill listings, and general ledger entries.
  • Manage inventory audits, including physical counts and system adjustments.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure the timely and accurate filing of all government and statutory obligations across all three companies.
  • Oversee the processing of business permits and other regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and review compliance-related documents, such as external receipts and 2307 forms.

Accounts Receivable & Payables

  • Proactively monitor customer accounts to ensure they are within credit terms and limits.
  • Take immediate action on overdue accounts to manage risk.
  • Monitor the accuracy and completeness of daily transactions for expenses, local purchases, and imports.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
  • Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Excel are required.
  • Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
