Job Description:

We are looking for a Green Building Materials Researcher to join our innovation and sustainability team. In this role, you will conduct research, testing, and development of sustainable, eco-friendly construction materials that enhance energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and support green building standards. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and product developers to bring innovative material solutions to market.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and analyze sustainable building materials, including renewable, recycled, and low-carbon alternatives.

Conduct laboratory experiments and performance testing to evaluate durability, safety, and environmental impact.

Develop prototypes and material formulations that align with green building certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM, WELL).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new materials into architectural and construction projects.

Monitor industry trends, scientific developments, and regulatory requirements in sustainable construction.

Prepare technical reports, white papers, and research publications.

Provide recommendations on material selection for eco-friendly design and construction practices.

Qualifications:

Master's or PhD in Materials Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Design, or related field.

Strong knowledge of green building standards and sustainability frameworks.

Hands-on experience with laboratory research, testing equipment, and material characterization.

Ability to translate research findings into practical applications for construction and design.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Strong communication and technical writing abilities.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in bio-based, recycled, or nanotechnology-enhanced materials.

Familiarity with life cycle assessment (LCA) and environmental impact modeling tools.

Industry experience in construction, architecture, or sustainable product development.
