• Process Management & Optimization:

Manage the metallurgical aspects of a plant to improve production, develop strategies, and monitor operational parameters.
- Data Analysis & Troubleshooting:

Conduct data analysis to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve metallurgical or process issues.
- Testing & Research:

Perform metallurgical test work and provide technical support to improve plant performance and develop new materials.
- Quality & Safety Compliance:

Ensure adherence to company policies and regulations, including the Quality, Environment, Safety, and Health (QESH) Management System and Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Laboratory Supervision:

Oversee the operations of the metallurgical laboratory, ensuring accurate testing and analysis of products and materials.
- Reporting & Communication:

Prepare reports on process performance, project developments, and cost-benefit analysis for management.
- Collaboration:

Work closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance personnel to deliver project requirements and share knowledge with external consultants and researchers.
- Resource Management:

Monitor the usage of major consumables and ensure they remain within budget.
