About The Role
As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be a key driver of growth, responsible for expanding our market presence and building strategic partnerships. You will own the entire business development process, from researching and identifying new opportunities to managing the sales funnel and closing deals. This role is vital for our company's success, as you will serve as a professional representative to vendors, partners, and stakeholders, helping to build and maintain the relationships that are essential to our long-term growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Pipeline Development
- Research and identify prospective leads.
- Build and maintain a structured sales funnel.
- Conduct outreach via phone, email, and other channels to establish first contact.
- Relationship Management
- Liaise with vendors, stakeholders, and prospective partners.
- Represent the company professionally in calls, emails, and written communication.
- Support senior leadership in maintaining warm relationships with key contacts.
- Memos, Reports & Pitch Support
- Draft detailed memos (20–30 pages) to introduce the company's portfolio companies and investment opportunities to institutions and partners.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and meeting notes for internal and external use.
- Support in building pitch decks and investor-facing documents.
- Sales Process Support
- Work closely with leadership to manage the entire sales cycle, from initial outreach to deal closing.
- Maintain accurate data on prospects, opportunities, and conversations in CRM (currently + Dealroom).
- Track KPIs and report on sales pipeline progress.
Competencies And Qualifications
Must-Have
- A minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in a similar business development, sales, or client-facing role.
- Direct experience within the venture capital or investment industry is highly preferred.
- Prior experience working with the U.S. market is required
- Demonstrated comfort and skill in communicating with and managing relationships with vendors, clients, and partners.
- Proven experience in the business development lifecycle, including lead generation, relationship management, and sales pipeline management.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to represent the company professionally and build rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency in creating professional business documents, including detailed memos, reports, and investor-facing materials like pitch decks.
