Azure (AVD) Engineer – Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) & Endpoint Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise-grade virtual desktop, endpoint, and storage solutions in Microsoft Azure. The role requires strong hands-on expertise across the Azure ecosystem—especially AVD, Nerdio Manager for Enterprise (NME), Intune, FSLogix, and Azure storage. You will ensure excellent user experience, cost efficiency, security, and compliance across the environment.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Microsoft or Nerdio certifications are highly preferred.
  • Must be willing to work on a
    hybrid setup
    at Mall of Asia Business Complex, Pasay City.
  • Must be open to
    rotating shifts
    , including graveyard hours

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with
    Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
    .
  • Experience with Azure VMs (compute, networking, backup).
  • Knowledge of Azure Compute Gallery for image lifecycle management.
  • Experience with
    Nerdio Manager for Enterprise (NME)
    or strong AVD skills with willingness to upskill.
  • Expertise in
    NME auto-scaling and auto-healing
    .
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Intune (MDM/MAM, Autopilot, compliance policies).
  • Administration of
    FSLogix Profile Containers
    with O365 integration.
  • Experience with
    Azure Files
    and/or
    Azure NetApp Files
    .
  • Strong understanding of Windows 10/11 enterprise configuration.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Certifications:
    AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-140, MD-102, Nerdio certifications
    .
  • Experience with PowerShell, Bicep, or Terraform.
  • Experience in enterprise, BPO, or MSP environments (24x7).
  • Understanding of Conditional Access, Entra ID, and hybrid identity.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across VDI, profiles, networking, and storage.
