Our client is a reputable scaffolding company based in Australia, delivering safe and innovative access solutions across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. They are seeking a highly experienced Scaffolding Design Engineer to join their team and take ownership of scaffold structure designs and load calculations.

Position Overview:

This role is ideal for a senior-level Scaffolding Engineer with 10–15 years of industry experience, including specialist knowledge of scaffold systems and structural load calculations. You will be responsible for delivering scaffold designs that are safe, compliant, and efficient—utilizing both steel and aluminium materials. Proficiency in ETABS software and a solid understanding of Australian Standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop structural designs for complex scaffolding systems using aluminium and steel
  • Perform accurate load calculations, stress analysis, and structural assessments
  • Design scaffold structures in compliance with Australian Standards (e.g., AS/NZS 1576)
  • Prepare engineering drawings, design reports, and calculation packages
  • Use ETABS for structural modeling and analysis of temporary and permanent structures
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and site teams to ensure safe and buildable designs
  • Provide technical support and guidance to drafters and field staff
  • Ensure all designs are practical, cost-effective, and meet required codes and regulations
  • Adapt designs for scaffold systems such as Layher, AT-PAC, Cuplock, or similar
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and deliver high-quality outcomes on time

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • 10–15 years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong focus on scaffolding and temporary works
  • Proficient in ETABS for structural design and analysis
  • Strong understanding of scaffold systems including Layher, AT-PAC, or similar modular systems
  • Expert-level knowledge in both steel and aluminium material behavior and load paths
  • Deep familiarity with Australian Standards for scaffold and structural design
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong IT skills including MS Office, structural analysis software, and drawing review tools
  • Ability to manage workload independently and maintain high productivity without close supervision

Desirable:

  • Experience working directly with Australian contractors or builders
  • Understanding of site safety and installation constraints in scaffold erection

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php80, Php150,000.00 per month
