JOB SUMMARY

The Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for managing, monitoring, and collecting company receivables to ensure timely cash flow. The role supports accurate customer billing, efficient collections, and proper recording of receivables in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely billing, collection, and posting of payments

·       Prepare, issue, and reconcile sales invoices, credit memos, and debit memos

·       Apply customer payments accurately and resolve payment discrepancies

·       Review accounts receivable aging and actively follow up overdue balances

·       Coordinate with Sales, Logistics, and Customer Service teams regarding billing and collection concerns

·       Enforce company credit and collection policies

·       Prepare AR aging reports, collection forecasts, and cash flow summaries

·       Reconcile accounts receivable subsidiary ledger with the general ledger

·       Address customer inquiries, disputes, and discrepancies promptly

·       Assist in month-end closing, audits, and compliance requirements

·       Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting standards

·       Support process improvements related to billing and collections

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

·       Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

·       At least three-five (3-5) years of work experience as an Accounts Receivable Staff, Associate, or Officer

·       FMCG industry experience is highly preferred

·       Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, credit management, and collections

·       Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)

·       Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications

·       Knowledge of VAT, withholding taxes, and invoicing requirements

·       Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

·       Excellent communication and coordination skills

·       Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

·       High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
