Accounting Officer | Internal Hiring

Job Summary:

Oversee and manage internal financial processes including accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, general ledger entries, check issuance, and financial reporting while ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely reporting, and adherence to company controls and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct processing and reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable, promptly resolving discrepancies.
  • Carry out general ledger entries and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of records.
  • Manage the generation of invoices, credit notes, and official receipts; monitor and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Oversee check issuance and payment vouchers, ensuring accuracy and proper approval of supporting documents.
  • Conduct the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing required documentation and reports.
  • Oversee monitoring of cash flow, expenses, and financial transactions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience (AP/AR, financial statement, general ledger, invoicing, check issuance, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems/software.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
