Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment within the hotel premises to ensure guest comfort, safety, and smooth hotel operations.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair on all electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, emergency systems, kitchen equipment.
  • Inspect and test electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or necessary adjustments.
  • Respond promptly to guest room and departmental maintenance requests related to electrical issues.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with safety standards and local electrical codes.
  • Maintain and update maintenance logs, job reports, and equipment inventory.
  • Assist in the installation of new electrical systems, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff (plumber, carpenter, etc.) to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Monitor and maintain hotel energy-saving systems and recommend cost-saving improvements.
  • Ensure all tools and electrical equipment are in safe working condition.
  • Support emergency response by ensuring generators and emergency lighting systems are fully operational at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical or vocational diploma/certificate in Electrical Technology or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment efficiently.
  • Must be flexible with working schedules (including weekends, holidays, and shifting).
  • Physically fit and able to work in confined or elevated spaces.
  • Professional, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor.
