Logistics Manager – Mindanao Operations (FMCG)

Job Summary

The 
Logistics Manager
 oversees all logistics and hauling operations in Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao, ensuring efficient and reliable dispatch, maintenance, and utilization of company-owned and subcontracted 6W, 10W, and trailer trucks serving FMCG clients. The role is responsible for daily operational performance, cost control, driver management, compliance, and client service levels across multiple delivery routes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fleet Operations Management

  • Supervise day-to-day truck dispatch, routing, and delivery performance for FMCG clients.
  • Ensure all 6W, 10W, and trailer trucks are fully utilized and compliant with loading schedules and route plans.
  • Monitor trip performance, fuel consumption, and turnaround time to achieve target efficiency metrics.
  • Coordinate with dispatchers, yard personnel, and mechanics for smooth trip execution and truck availability.

2. Driver and Helper Supervision

  • Lead and monitor all drivers and helpers assigned to Mindanao operations.
  • Oversee driver assignments, attendance, trip schedules, and discipline.
  • Conduct driver training, coaching, and orientation on company policies, safety, and client handling.
  • Implement a fair incentive and penalty system based on performance, fuel efficiency, and compliance.

3. Client Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for FMCG clients in Mindanao regarding delivery schedules, truck requirements, and service issues.
  • Ensure on-time delivery, proper documentation (trip tickets, gate passes, PODs), and immediate resolution of concerns.
  • Coordinate closely with the operations and billing teams for POD submission, trip closing, and invoicing.

4. Maintenance and Compliance

  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections of all trucks.
  • Coordinate with the main office for parts requisition, cost approvals, and maintenance reporting.
  • Ensure all units comply with LTO, LGU, and client facility requirements (permits, insurance, PPE, etc.).
  • Maintain updated fleet records including registration, insurance, and maintenance logs.

5. Cost and Performance Monitoring

  • Track and control operational costs, including fuel, tolls, repairs, and manpower expenses.
  • Analyze trip profitability, fuel efficiency, and truck utilization.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for management review.
  • Recommend operational improvements and cost-saving measures.

6. Safety, Compliance, and Reporting

  • Enforce strict adherence to road safety, defensive driving, and company policies.
  • Lead investigation of accidents, incidents, and operational deviations.
  • Submit periodic reports on fleet status, delivery performance, and manpower metrics to head office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 
    5 years of experience
     in trucking, logistics, or fleet operations management (FMCG preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of 
    truck dispatching, fleet maintenance, and route planning
    .
  • Experience handling 
    6W, 10W, and trailer trucks
    .
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-handling skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, trip monitoring systems, and fleet dashboards.
  • Must be willing to be based in 
    Mindanao (Cagayan de Oro or nearby areas)
     and conduct regular site visits.
