Job Summary

The Management Trainee will undergo a comprehensive 5-year rotational training program covering all major functions of the trucking business, including operations, fleet management, finance, compliance, and leadership. The program is designed to build strong operational foundations and progressively prepare the trainee for supervisory and managerial roles based on performance, competency, and business needs.

This role is ideal for individuals seeking long-term career growth and leadership responsibility in the trucking and logistics industry.

Training Scope & Responsibilities (Progressive by Year)

Years 1–2: Operations, Dispatch & Fleet Exposure

  • Assist in daily dispatch planning, trip scheduling, and route coordination.
  • Monitor truck movements, delivery performance, and turnaround times.
  • Coordinate with drivers regarding trip requirements and operational issues.
  • Gain exposure to fleet maintenance planning, inspections, and breakdown handling.
  • Learn basic safety standards, vehicle compliance, and operational controls.

Year 3: Finance, Costing & Performance Monitoring

  • Assist in tracking trip expenses, fuel consumption, and operating costs.
  • Learn trip costing, billing, collections, and profitability analysis.
  • Support preparation of operational and financial performance reports.
  • Assist management in identifying cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.

Year 4: Compliance, Administration & Risk Management

  • Assist in business and vehicle permit renewals and regulatory compliance.
  • Gain exposure to insurance management and claims processing.
  • Support government-mandated benefits processing (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
  • Assist in bank-related transactions and official field coordination.
  • Learn documentation control, audit readiness, and risk management processes.

Year 5: Leadership, Supervision & Business Management

  • Assist supervisors and managers in overseeing daily operations or fleet activities.
  • Participate in KPI monitoring, performance reviews, and team coordination.
  • Handle client coordination, issue escalation, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare management reports, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Mentor junior staff and support operational decision-making.

Program Structure & Evaluation

  • Program Duration: 5 years
  • Training is rotational, progressive, and performance-based
  • Annual evaluations determine role expansion, responsibility level, and progression
  • Salary and designation adjustments aligned with milestones
