The Commercial Finance Analyst plays a key role in driving business performance through data-driven insights and financial analysis. This role partners closely with global finance and commercial teams to evaluate sales performance, customer profitability, pricing strategies, and market trends. The analyst supports closing, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes, ensuring financial performance is reported accurately, targets are met and commercial decisions are grounded in solid financial logic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insight into P&L performance, pricing, product margins, and customer trends.
  • Financial Planning: Support the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range planning.
  • Customer Rebates: Manage customer rebate processes, including monthly monitoring of Sales Allowance entries with Customer Rebates team, performing balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining rebate policies and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Financial Controlling: Conduct variance analysis and identify key drivers of performance against targets.
  • Business Partnering: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key commercial KPIs.
  • Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal financial controls. Lead initiatives to enhance financial processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Month-End: Support month-end close activities by preparing and reviewing accruals and journal entries, analyzing variances, validating P&L and B/S postings, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in collaboration with accounting and other cross-functional teams.
  • Ad-hoc activities: Support various ad-hoc financial and commercial analysis requests, including deep dives into sales performance, margin analysis, customer profitability, and scenario modeling to inform business decisions and strategic initiatives.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's Degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in a financial role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Experience with financial reporting tools (SAP, OneStream, PowerBI). Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. Skilled in Microsoft Office software (primarily, but not limited to, Excel).
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of profitability drivers.
