Job Title: Network Administrator
Position Summary

The Network Administrator at Enov8tive is the backbone of our secure, reliable, and high-performance network infrastructure. This role is crucial for a Google-based company, ensuring seamless connectivity, robust security across our LAN, WAN, and cloud environments (with a focus on Google Cloud Platform - GCP), and optimal performance for all users and services across the Google Workspace ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
Network Operations and Maintenance
  • Design, install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points (WAPs).
  • Proactively monitor network performance, availability, and utilization using advanced monitoring tools to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues and bottlenecks, minimizing downtime.
  • Administer and maintain network services such as DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (IPAM).
  • Perform regular scheduled maintenance, firmware upgrades, and configuration backups for all network devices.
Google Cloud (GCP) and Cloud Networking
  • Manage and support networking components within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), firewall rules, peering, load balancers, and Cloud Interconnect/VPN solutions.
  • Optimize cloud connectivity to ensure high-speed, secure, and cost-effective data transfer for mission-critical applications hosted on GCP.
  • Collaborate with the Development team to establish secure network environments for deploying new cloud-native applications.
Security and Compliance
  • Implement, maintain, and enforce network security policies, including firewall rules, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), and zero-trust principles, to protect Enov8tive's digital assets.
  • Manage Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and remote access solutions to ensure secure connectivity for remote and hybrid employees.
  • Conduct regular network vulnerability assessments and security audits.
Documentation and Support
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, network diagrams (logical and physical), inventory records, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all network infrastructure.
  • Provide high-level (Tier 2/3) technical support to the IT Support team and end-users for complex connectivity and network-related issues, including those involving Google Workspace services.
  • Manage network asset lifecycle, planning for capacity growth and necessary equipment upgrades.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in network administration and engineering.
  • Proven expertise in configuring and managing network equipment from major vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Meraki, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS, VPNs, MPLS).
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Strong Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Networking (VPC, Cloud VPN, Cloud Interconnect, Load Balancing).
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Google Cloud Certified - Network Engineer.
  • Familiarity with automation/scripting tools (Python, Bash) for network management and repetitive tasks.
  • Experience administering security solutions like firewalls and endpoint security in a corporate environment.
  • Working knowledge of Linux server environments and virtualization technologies.
