About the Role

Atlas NextWave is working with a leading renewable energy developer and independent power producer who are looking to hire an experienced Project Manager of their solar projects, and will work closely with the internal and external stakeholders to oversee the design preparation, construction management, QA/QC/HSSE compliance monitoring, punch-listing, test and commissioning of solar project. It is expected that he/she will be handling multiple engineering disciplines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Solar Project Strategy & Execution -
    Develop and implement strategic plans for solar project delivery, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Project Scheduling & Budget Management -
    Create and manage project timelines and budgets to meet financial and operational targets.
  • Stakeholder Coordination & Communication -
    Liaise with internal teams, EPC contractors, Owner's Engineers, vendors, and customers to align project objectives and ensure smooth communication.
  • Regulatory & Permitting Compliance -
    Coordinate with LGUs, regulatory bodies, and utilities (NGCP/distribution/electric cooperatives) to secure permits and ensure technical compliance.
  • Contract & Change Management -
    Oversee contract negotiations, specifications, insurance, and change control processes, maintaining documentation and approvals.
  • Construction Oversight & Quality Assurance -
    Monitor construction activities, conduct site inspections, and ensure adherence to QA/QC, HSSE, and ITP standards.
  • Risk Identification & Mitigation -
    Analyze construction risks and develop proactive solutions to maintain project progress and safety.
  • Team Leadership & Development -
    Manage project teams, delegate responsibilities, and mentor junior staff to build capacity and ensure project success.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting -
    Conduct regular progress reviews with EPC contractors, focusing on critical path recovery and dashboard-based status updates.
  • Compliance with HSSE & Quality Management Systems -
    Ensure EPC contractors implement HSSE and quality policies effectively, coordinating with site HSE managers and third-party firms as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience in Renewable Energy Projects -
    Proven years of project management experience in solar or other renewable energy construction projects, including EPC coordination.
  • Strong Knowledge of HSSE and Regulatory Compliance -
    Demonstrated ability to manage Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) standards and ensure compliance with local regulations and permitting processes.
  • Expertise in Contract and Budget Management -
    Skilled in negotiating and managing contracts, budgets, and schedules, with a strong understanding of project insurance and change control procedures.
  • Leadership and Team Management Skills -
    Ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Technical Proficiency in Solar Farm Construction -
    Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, equipment procurement, design reviews, and construction monitoring, including coordination with utilities and third-party engineers.
