Government Compliance Associate

The Government Compliance Associate (Legal Assistant) is responsible for ensuring that the company remains fully compliant with all national and local government requirements. The role involves the preparation, processing, and monitoring of business registrations, permits, licenses, and other regulatory documents from agencies such as the DTI, SEC, BIR, DOLE, LGU, and other relevant government offices. This position requires strong attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism, as well as the ability to handle fieldwork and coordinate with various government representatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Government Liaison and Compliance Processing
- Handle the preparation, submission, and renewal of business permits, licenses, and certifications.
- Coordinate with agencies such as BIR, SEC, DTI, DOLE, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, FDA, and LGUs.
- Ensure compliance with local and national regulations affecting business operations.
- Maintain a compliance calendar to monitor deadlines and renewal dates.
2. Legal and Documentation Support
- Draft, organize, and file compliance-related documents, contracts, and reports.
- Maintain proper records of company legal documents and correspondence.
- Support management in addressing regulatory notices, audit requirements, and government communications.
3. Reporting and Monitoring
- Prepare regular compliance and legal status reports for management.
- Track policy updates, new laws, and regulatory issuances that may affect company operations.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance accuracy.
4. Field Work and Coordination
- Personally visit government offices for document submissions, pickups, and inquiries.
- Represent the company during government inspections or compliance-related meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Management, Business Administration, Political Science, or related field.
- At least 1–3 years experience in business registration, government liaison, or compliance work.
- Familiarity with Philippine regulatory agencies (DTI, SEC, BIR, DOLE, etc.).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Strong ethics, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- Willing to do regular on-site reporting and fieldwork (6 days/week).
Work Setup and Schedule
- Work Location: On-site (office and field-based)
- Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday | M-F 10AM to7PM, Sat 9AM to 9PM
