The Food and Beverage Intern is responsible for assisting the Food and Beverage Managers with all restaurant, bar, and banquet operations on a daily and shift-by-shift basis; essentially being the "face of the operation." This position utilizes a hands-on approach. The Food and Beverage Intern ensures that all Front of House staff are consistently providing a superb dining experience by effectively interacting with external guests.

To be considered in the internship, you must have the following qualifications:

  • Must be a current college or university student
  • College Level / Undergraduate degree in Hotel or Hospitality Management (with Food and Beverage subjects preferred)
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and a capacity to excel in dynamic environments.
  • Eager to engage in hotel business and operations

Key Responsibilities of a Food and Beverage Intern:

  • Preparation: Setting tables, arranging the dining area, and preparing ingredients for service.
  • Order Taking: Taking orders from customers, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Service: Serving food and beverages, presenting menus, and explaining daily specials.
  • Customer Interaction: Providing friendly and efficient service, addressing customer needs, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Stock Management: Checking and managing inventory levels of raw materials and other supplies.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
