This role is suited for professionals with strong quantitative and analytical skills who want to apply their expertise in financial modeling and project finance. You'll be responsible for building detailed financial models, reviewing commercial and technical documents, and translating complex data into clear insights that support investment decisions in the renewable energy sector.

Roles and Responsibilities

Financial Modeling and Analysis

  • Build, refine, and interpret financial models to assess the viability and profitability of investment opportunities.
  • Use strong math and accounting knowledge to ensure data accuracy, aligning financial projections with industry and company standards.
  • Perform in-depth analyses of project documents, including supply contracts, equipment proposals, and other relevant data, to incorporate key terms and conditions into financial models.

Document Review and Translation to Financial Models

  • Review supply contracts, equipment proposals, and investment documents, identifying critical commercial terms and verifying alignment with financial projections.
  • Translate complex contractual and technical components into actionable insights within financial models, ensuring data integrity.
  • Ensure financial models are consistent with the nuances of project finance, providing valuable insights into potential risks, costs, and returns.

Commercial Acumen and Project Finance

  • Leverage a background in commercial finance and project finance to analyze and understand contract structures, financial commitments, and project economics.

Clear Communication and Storytelling

  • Communicate complex financial and project insights clearly, using storytelling techniques to translate data and analysis into compelling narratives for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Present findings in a structured, impactful way, ensuring stakeholders fully understand key insights and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Management Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field; a strong foundation in accounting principles is required.
  • Experience in investments, project finance, or commercial finance with a background in renewable energy, project analysis, or financial modeling.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and document review, with strong math and accounting knowledge to support precise financial assessments.
  • Familiarity with project finance concepts and the renewable energy sector, along with a solid understanding of commercial contract terms and project economics.
  • Ability to independently analyze complex contracts, develop insights, and apply critical thinking to financial modeling and risk assessment.
  • Ability to communicate financial insights and project updates clearly, with a knack for translating data into impactful narratives.
