Land Contracts Officer

Department: Land Management

Reports To: Land Management Head

Job Summary:

The Land Contracts Officer is responsible for drafting, reviewing, and administering land-related agreements and contracts. This includes surface use agreements, lease agreements, right-of-way agreements, and other land access documents. The role ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements while supporting project development and operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate land-related agreements
  • Ensure all land contracts comply with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards.
  • Liaise with landowners, legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and internal departments to secure land access and contractual rights.
  • Maintain accurate records of land agreements, permits, titles, and associated documentation.
  • Monitor key contract dates and obligations, ensuring timely renewals and compliance.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Land Administration, Business, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in land contracts, land administration, or legal support.
  • Strong knowledge of land use regulations, contract law, and property rights.
  • Experience in the energy, mining, real estate, or infrastructure sector is preferred.
  • Proficiency in contract management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
