Job Summary:We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Land Lawyer to join our Land Management Team. In this role, you will provide legal guidance on land use, zoning laws, real estate transactions, property disputes, and regulatory compliance. You will represent clients such as developers, landowners, investors, government bodies, and corporations involved in land acquisition and development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on land acquisition, ownership rights, and land use regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate land purchase agreements, leases, easements, and other real estate contracts.
- Conduct title reviews, due diligence, and risk assessments on property-related transactions.
- Represent clients in legal proceedings involving property disputes, zoning appeals, eminent domain, or environmental compliance.
- Work with local planning authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Advise clients on land development, zoning changes, and construction laws.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local real estate and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with surveyors, environmental consultants, and real estate professionals.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- 3+ years of experience in real estate law, land use, or a related legal field.
- In-depth knowledge of property law, land use regulations, zoning, and environmental compliance.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients or projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with public or government agencies.
- Background in commercial or agricultural land transactions.
- Knowledge of environmental law and permitting processes.
- Mediation or litigation experience in property-related disputes.
