Quality Manager – Service Laboratory

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Manager to establish, oversee, and continuously improve the Quality Management System in our service laboratory. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the laboratory toward ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, ensuring that all processes, systems, and staff practices align with international standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the laboratory's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
  • Drive the laboratory's ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation process, including gap assessments, documentation, audit readiness, and close-out of findings.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation bodies, regulatory agencies, and client expectations.
  • Monitor and evaluate internal quality controls, proficiency testing, and method validation/verification.
  • Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits/assessments.
  • Review and approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and quality documents.
  • Train, mentor, and guide staff on quality standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Investigate nonconformities, implement corrective/preventive actions, and monitor effectiveness.
  • Prepare management review reports and quality performance metrics for leadership.
  • Collaborate with laboratory management to integrate quality initiatives into operations and enhance customer confidence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field (Master's degree or higher preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with 2+ years in a supervisory or quality role.
  • Direct experience in achieving or maintaining ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory operations, regulatory requirements, and audit practices.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Certification in Quality Management, ISO/IEC 17025 Lead Auditor, or similar credentials is an advantage.
