Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of our Food & Beverage establishment. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can drive service excellence, manage and mentor staff, and ensure all operational and financial goals are met. This role is integral to maintaining our high standards of quality, service, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Assist the Manager in overseeing all aspects of daily operations, including dining room service, inventory management, and opening/closing procedures.
- Team Management & Development: Train, supervise, and motivate a diverse team of front-of-house and back-of-house staff. Assist with scheduling, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.
- Guest Experience: Ensure an exceptional and memorable dining experience for all guests. Promptly and professionally handle all guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
- Financial & Administrative Support: Assist with administrative duties such as daily sales reports, cash handling, and compliance with all financial procedures. Work to optimize profitability through cost control and effective resource allocation.
- Quality & Compliance: Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with all local regulations (e.g., HACCP, Department of Health).
- Inventory & Procurement: Monitor stock levels for food, beverage, and supplies; assist with ordering and receiving to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
Qualifications & Requirements (Must-Haves)
- Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the Food & Beverage, Hospitality, or Restaurant industry.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office/Excel).
- Availability: Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as business needs require.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
- A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of food, wine, spirits, and current industry trends.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
