Job Summary

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operations, strategic planning, and overall financial performance of the Batangas facility, with a strong emphasis on Food Industry best practices, quality, production efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures the facility meets production targets while adhering to strict Food Safety and Quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Operations & Production Leadership

  2. Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring efficient and timely production flow, cost control, and optimization of resources.

  3. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in production yields, efficiency, and waste reduction specific to food manufacturing processes.

  4. Ensure the facility maintains high standards of maintenance and utility management to support uninterrupted food production.

  5. Food Safety & Quality Assurance (Crucial)

  6. Ensure strict compliance with all local and international Food Safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO

  7. Lead the commitment to Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA), guaranteeing the consistent delivery of high-quality, safe food products.

  8. Manage and lead the IMI/QA/QC and Production teams to instill a culture of food safety.

  9. Strategic & Financial Management

  10. Develop and execute the annual business plan and budget for the Batangas facility.

  11. Manage P&L (Profit and Loss) and control operational costs, capital expenditures, and inventory within the Food Industry supply chain context.

  12. Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to align production capacity with market demands and forecasts.

  13. Team Management & Development

  14. Lead, mentor, and develop the management team and all departmental heads.

  15. Foster a positive, results-oriented culture that prioritizes safety (including food safety) and accountability.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive management experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role within the Food Manufacturing or processing industry.
  • Knowledge: Strong background and expertise in Food Safety standards (HACCP, GMP), Quality Management Systems, and regulatory requirements in the Food Sector.
  • Skills: Proven ability to manage complex operations, strong financial acumen, and excellent leadership and communication skills.

The rate range will depend on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and current salary structure. Note that the final salary or rate will be discussed and negotiated with the Hiring Manager during the interview process.
