Job Description: Process Engineer

Location: Tanauan, Batangas

Job Summary:

The Process Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and safety. This role is focused on process control and machine automation within our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and a solid understanding of automation and process control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Improvement & Optimization: Analyze existing production processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from initial concept to start-up and certification.
  • Automation & Control: Design, implement, and maintain machine automation and process control systems, including PLCs and other control systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshoot process-related issues, conducting root cause analysis to implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Project Management: Manage projects related to process upgrades and new equipment installation, ensuring they are completed within budget and on schedule.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical specifications, and training materials.
  • Quality & Safety: Ensure all processes comply with company standards, as well as health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth integration of new processes and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • With a Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) or Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) license is a plus.
  • Proven work experience as a Process Engineer, particularly with a focus on machine automation and process control.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial process design and engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with process simulation software and CAD/AutoCAD is an advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, as well as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
