We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join Yempo, working with an Australian-based client that's a Xero Advisor Certified Practice providing top-quality financial management services to businesses and not-for-profit organizations.

This role offers exposure to Australian accounting standards, reporting, and compliance, while working in a collaborative and supportive team.

Your Responsibilities
  • Prepare and publish Xero reports, workpapers, and Spotlight reports
  • Prepare budget templates, forecasts, and variance analyses
  • Perform account reconciliations and support audit processes
  • Ensure compliance with Australian taxation (FBT, PAYG) and other legislation
  • Prepare financial information for acquittals and funder submissions (for NFP clients)
  • Draft statutory accounts where required
  • Stay updated on Australian and NFP accounting practices
  • Participate in process improvement and ad hoc financial projects
Your Background
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CA/CPA qualified or currently pursuing
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in management or financial accounting
  • Strong experience in Xero and Excel / Google Sheets
  • Excellent reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in Australian accounting or not-for-profit accounting highly regarded
  • Experience with any of the following tools is a plus: Spotlight Reporting, Freshdesk, Jetpack, ReceiptBank, Slack
Nice to Have
  • Experience preparing reports or compliance requirements for NFP clients
  • Knowledge of cross-cultural communication and collaboration
