Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally at the cashier station.
  • Process guest payments accurately (cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, vouchers).
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling and payment procedures.
  • Issue receipts, invoices, and change with accuracy.
  • Verify authenticity of checks, credit cards, and gift certificates.
  • Handle reservation deposits, pre-payments, and cancellations with proper records.
  • Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Reconcile daily sales transactions and prepare reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality in handling transactions.
  • Coordinate with servers/hosts for guest billing inquiries or corrections.
  • Address customer concerns about payments promptly and politely.
  • Operate POS systems efficiently and ensure accurate entries.
  • Record discounts, promotions, or complimentary items with approvals.
  • Monitor and restock cashier supplies (e.g., receipt paper).
  • Keep cashier counter organized and aligned with luxury standards.
  • Communicate with front-of-house staff for smooth payment flow.
  • Manage split bills, group payments, and special billing requests.
  • Stay knowledgeable about the menu, promotions, and wine list.
  • Comply with audit requirements and documentation protocols.
  • Follow policies regarding lost property or disputed bills.
  • Deliver customer service consistent with a high-end brand image.
  • Assist in training new cashiers on cashiering processes.
  • Support management during peak service hours.
  • Maintain hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards.
  • Perform other cashiering or administrative tasks as assigned.
