Position Title: Plant Controller Associate

Department: Finance

Work Location: Alpha South, Sto. Thomas, Batangas

Job Summary

The Plant Controller Associate is responsible for supporting cost management and financial analysis of manufacturing operations within MPFI. This role ensures accurate tracking of production costs, preparation of cost reports, and compliance with financial controls. The position will handle costing for Meat, Nata, Can Making Plant, and other new product developments, providing financial insights to support operational efficiency and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct cost analysis for manufacturing operations, including raw materials, production, and overhead expenses, to ensure accurate and timely cost reporting (30%).
  • Collaborate with production, supply chain, and business unit teams to resolve costing issues and provide data-driven insights for operational decisions (20%).
  • Assist in the preparation of plant budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with company policies and financial objectives (10%).
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance cost efficiency, reporting accuracy, and overall plant operations (20%).
  • Prepare and submit financial reports, dashboards, and SAP entries to support management decision-making (20%).

Decision-Making Authority

  • Works within established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Limited discretion; escalates complex issues to the Finance Manager.

Communication Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily with immediate superior and Production Department on inventory and asset-related matters.
  • Engage with various BU departments to explain cost reports and provide data insights, ensuring technical information is communicated clearly to both staff and management.

Innovation Contribution

  • Applies existing procedures and best practices to address routine costing and reporting issues.
  • Provides data-driven recommendations to improve cost efficiency and compliance.
