Job Summary:

The Cashier is responsible for accurately handling cash transactions, providing excellent customer service, and assisting in the smooth daily operations of the bakeshop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and respond to their queries courteously.
  • Accurately process sales transactions using a POS (Point of Sale) system.
  • Receive payments in cash or through electronic means, issue receipts, and return correct change.
  • Ensure the cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of the shift.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the counter and cashier area.
  • Coordinate with the store team to ensure a steady flow of products and services.
  • Promote products and special offers to customers.
  • Handle customer complaints or refer them to the store supervisor if necessary.
  • Support in basic inventory checks and report any discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with all store policies and procedures.
