We are seeking a
detail-oriented and proactive Medical Billing & Benefit Verification Specialist
to handle insurance verification, patient benefit checks, and accurate medical billing processes. The ideal candidate has experience in the U.S. healthcare system, with strong knowledge of insurance procedures, claims management, and patient financial counseling. This role will utilize the
eIVF EMR system
to ensure timely and precise posting, minimize claim denials, and provide patients with a clear understanding of their coverage and financial responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Benefit Verification & Eligibility Checks

  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and active coverage prior to appointments.
  • Confirm benefits for specific procedures or services, including copays, coinsurance, and deductibles.
  • Identify pre-authorization or referral requirements as needed.
  • Record verification details (representative name, reference number, confirmation date) in the eIVF EMR system.

Medical Billing

  • Review patient encounters and assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
  • Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance providers through eIVF EMR.
  • Monitor claim status, address rejections, and resolve denials efficiently.
  • Post insurance payments and reconcile patient accounts in eIVF EMR.
  • Generate patient statements and manage outstanding balances.

Financial & Insurance Management

  • Accurately post all financial data into the eIVF EMR system.
  • Understand and clearly explain cash versus insurance pricing for services.
  • Provide financial orientation to English-speaking patients regarding out-of-pocket costs and coverage details.

Compliance & Communication

  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and front-desk teams to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
  • Communicate insurance coverage details and payment options to patients in a professional and empathetic manner.

Operational Efficiency & Customer Service

  • Coordinate with insurance providers for authorizations, benefit checks, and claim follow-ups.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service to ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Support overall clinic operations by effectively utilizing eIVF EMR tools and workflows.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or medical billing certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the U.S. medical field, focusing on insurance processes and billing.
  • Proficiency in eIVF EMR or similar medical billing systems.
  • Solid understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with multiple insurance carriers and online portals.
  • Knowledge of pre-authorization procedures and claim management.
  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.
