JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for planning, analyzing, implementing and directing Procurement systems and procedures and ensures effective and efficient operational activities and provides solutions that enhance Corporate Services operations

Areas of Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Directs the development, installation and constant review and updating of relevant procurement systems, process and policies that will enable the efficient, effective and accurate purchasing of all items by properly understanding the process of the department.

  2. Gathers, negotiates and compares proposals from various vendors in order to make sound purchasing decisions.

  3. Ensures purchased items are within the given budget and is delivered in good quality and timely manner.

  4. Reviews and maintains vendor database including vendor performance and purchased history. Ensures vendor requirements complies with the company and statutory regulations.

  5. Reviews delivery receipts and invoices for accuracy and completeness of delivered items. Reviews and eliminates any discrepancy in purchase orders and payment.

  6. Maintains and regularly updates inventory of supplies and equipment to control procurement cost.

  7. Maintains positive working relationships with vendors to ensure good negotiation of cost, quality and delivery targets are met.

  8. Ensures complete documentation on vendor accreditation and safe keeps all documentation on procurement.

  9. Provides updates about procurement related progress and potential delays on a regular basis to the Business Manager.

  10. Manage all supplier contracts and administers best pricing strategies for all purchase materials and suppliers and analyzes all new issued materials and recommends strategies to improve quality and manage inventory levels for all supplies.

  11. Develops and submits for approval plans and program, targets and budgets, directs its implementation and monitors progress to ensure attainment in accordance with Corporate directions.

Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge on MS Office and Inventory Management software and databases

  2. Extensive experience on developing business relationships with suppliers and vendors

  3. Familiarity with purchasing fundamentals

  4. Good communication and negotiation skills

  5. Graduate of a four Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Logistics and/or other related courses

  6. At least five (5) years work experience as Procurement Officer / Supervisor
