Insurance Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluates and processes applications for refund of Equity Value (due to voluntary termination of membership, optional and compulsory retirement, erroneous deductions and deceased members), MBIEV-MER, and other benefits
- Monitors the PNP Personnel Accounting Information System (PAIS) regarding reported deaths, dismissed, suspended, recruits, lateral transferees, and retirees for reference and appropriate action
- Coordinates with Fund & Investment Management Department and Billing, Collection and Remedial Management Department with regard to alternative means of members' payment for contribution
- Submits stoppage report to BCRMD
- Prepares and issues order of payment
- Answers queries regarding policy services received from walk-in members, email, and website
- Performs tasks as provided for in the updated and approved Operations Manual
- Performs other related functions as directed by superior
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any business course
- With a minimum of 1-year related experience
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Strong analytical, composition, and prioritizing skills
- Detail-oriented and with good organization and coordination skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Good written and oral communication skills
