Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Import Staff member to manage and coordinate the importation of goods, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in import procedures, documentation, and international trade practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle the end-to-end import process, including documentation, customs clearance, and coordination with suppliers and freight forwarders.
  • Prepare and process import documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
  • Monitor shipment status and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, shipping lines, and other logistics partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all import regulations, customs laws, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all import transactions.
  • Verify shipping charges, duties, and taxes for accuracy.
  • Assist in resolving issues related to delays, damages, or discrepancies in shipments.
  • Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and finance departments for smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience in importation, logistics, or shipping preferred.
  • Knowledge of import regulations, INCOTERMS, and customs procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in MS Office and logistics software (e.g., SAP, ERP systems).
