Production and Distribution Manager

Job Description:
The Production and Distribution Manager is responsible for overseeing the production processes and distribution operations within the organization. This role involves managing the entire supply chain, ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently, meet quality standards, and are delivered to customers in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of production and logistics, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Oversight: Manage and coordinate all aspects of the production process, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring production activities to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control standards to ensure that all products meet company specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee the supply chain from raw material procurement to product delivery, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing costs.
- Distribution Coordination: Plan and manage the distribution of products to ensure timely delivery to customers, including coordinating with logistics providers and managing transportation logistics.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of production and distribution staff, providing training, support, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing work environment.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in production and distribution operations, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for production and distribution operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targets.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, marketing, and procurement, to align production and distribution strategies with overall business objectives.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on production and distribution performance metrics, highlighting areas for improvement and progress toward goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 3-5 years in production and distribution management, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in production planning software and inventory management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
