The Cargo Team Leader Trainee plays a key supervisory role in managing the day-to-day cargo operations within a bus transportation terminal or logistics hub. This position is responsible for overseeing cargo loading and unloading, dispatch coordination, team supervision, and ensuring timely and secure handling of goods. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, with a strong background in cargo or logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily cargo operations, including loading, unloading, sorting, dispatching, and tracking of packages.
  • Lead, train, and coordinate a team of cargo handlers, porters, and support staff.
  • Ensure all cargo is processed in compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transport schedules.
  • Monitor dispatch schedules and collaborate with the bus operations team to ensure timely cargo delivery and pickup.
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo movement, documentation, inventory, and incident reports.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, and other departments regarding cargo status and delivery concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in cargo, logistics, transportation, or related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of cargo handling procedures and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with dispatch systems and transportation scheduling.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed.
