Network and Systems Administrator Job Description:

  • Manage LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet and intranet systems
  • Must ensure stable network connectivity throughout company LAN/WAN and monitor servers for performance issues
  • Monitor servers, hardware (desktop computers, printers, etc.), routers, switches, firewalls, IP Phones, software deployment security updates and patches
  • Keep track of hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to check compliance with standards, policies and configuration guidelines
  • Set up security firewall for complete protection from viruses and unauthorized users
  • Execute hardware, software and system monitoring and documentation
  • Troubleshooting of the following, but not limited to: SMTP, FTP, SSL TCP, HTTP, SFTP, RDP, POP, ICMP, HTTPS, DNS and VPN
  • Administer Azure Cloud Services
  • Administer Microtik Networks
  • Administer the company's VOIP Systems
  • Define security policies, ACLs and Security Groups
  • Provide Onsite Support for system outages
  • Provide employee support such as hardware, cable, software and peripherals installation
  • Perform upgrade and update of Network and Server Systems
  • Monitor Server and Network system performance daily
  • Document current IT Systems configuration and setup
  • Create documentations for IT Procedures
  • Perform adhoc task assigned by IT Manager

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in managing Azure Cloud Services, VM, Storage, VPN
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in Network Administration, Subnetting, IP addressing, VLAN Creation, ACLs, Security Groups, VPN,
  • Must be able to cope in a fast-paced working environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Operating Systems Windows and Linux
  • Excellent knowledge of Azure, Windows Active Directory is required, as well as a deep understanding of networking protocols, components and procedures, LAN/WAN fundamentals, network management and administration.
  • Deep understanding of IT Systems and Network security approaches and techniques
  • System Performance Tuning
  • System Availability/ Recovery
  • Negotiation & Relationship Management skills
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong computer skills. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good written and oral communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Results oriented and Proactive
