JOB SUMMARY:

The Network Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization's computer networks and communication systems. This role ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of all network infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and related hardware and software. The Network Administrator also provides technical support, monitors network performance, and implements security measures to protect company data and resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in network administration, system administration, or related IT support roles.
  • Experience with network hardware and configuration
  • Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux server environments.
  • Knowledge of network monitoring tools

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install, configure, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, bandwidth, and latency.
  • Ensure network security through firewalls, antivirus programs, intrusion detection systems, and regular patch updates.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within the network environment.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers for hardware and software procurement and support.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and service records.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users and other IT staff.
