We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Test Analyst
to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for
Test Planning and Execution
activities related to the
application interfaces of Core Banking systems
. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of our banking applications through rigorous testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and review test approaches and strategies
  • Estimate testing effort and schedule work plans
  • Design and review test cases using techniques like equivalence partitioning and boundary value analysis
  • Prepare test data specifications and prerequisites
  • Execute manual test cases and validate functional requirements
  • Report test incidents and log defects with appropriate severity levels
  • Document test results and maintain test artifacts
  • Analyze business and functional requirements
  • Identify and assess risks related to testing activities
  • Prepare Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
  • Conduct re-tests to validate defect fixes
  • Review deliverables and provide sign-offs
  • Liaise with project teams, department heads, and ITG delivery units
  • Create and present testing progress reports to stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and testing policy enhancements
  • Apply innovative methods and tools for defect prevention
  • Ensure compliance with operational level agreements and defined entry/exit criteria
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Proven experience in software testing, preferably in banking or financial services
  • Strong understanding of test design techniques and software development lifecycle
  • Proficiency in manual testing and defect tracking tools
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Core Banking systems is a plus
