We're looking for a highly skilled Electrical Estimator to be the technical cornerstone of our commercial solar and battery projects in Australia. This isn't a junior role or a training ground; we are "hiring forward" for a specialist whose precision and deep electrical knowledge will directly fuel our growth and protect our profitability.

You will be the critical mind ensuring every quote is not just competitive but also technically flawless and commercially sound.

What You'll Do:

Your primary mission is to create highly accurate, competitive quotes that win projects. You will own the estimation process from start to finish, working closely with our Australian team.

  • Dive deep into project plans, leveraging your expert understanding of single-line diagrams (SLDs), switchboard designs, and Australian electrical standards (AS3000, AS47) to scope the work.
  • Perform detailed material and labor take-offs. You will be responsible for meticulously checking all quantities, even those assisted by AI, to guarantee accuracy.
  • Manage the entire estimation lifecycle within SimPRO, manipulating the costing library and building quotes from the ground up.
  • Be the last line of defense in ensuring our quotes are precise, as this directly impacts our gross profit margins.

What We're Looking For:

  • A background in Electrical Engineering is crucial. Your foundational understanding of electrical principles is more important than estimation experience itself.
  • Have direct, hands-on experience working on Australian electrical projects, ideally with exposure to design work in Victoria.
  • Can confidently read and interpret SLDs and switchboard designs and are familiar with Australian electrical standards like AS3000.
  • Have experience in commercial solar, battery storage, or a similar electrical industry within Australia. This is non-negotiable.
  • While hands-on experience with SimPRO is highly favored, your skills may be transferable from other Field Service Management (FSM) software like Procore or Bluebeam. (Note: We do not use Excel for our core estimating operations.)
  • Comfortable speaking up, asking questions when you don't understand something, and admitting when you've made an error. We value problem solving over blame.
